Where is the snow?



Before the break was over it was obvious with a little trip to Arlanda. So the day that I was going back to Västerås I wake up early to get the only hours of sun. I was out at Arlanda by nine o’clock and it was no visibility at all. I get off the bus at Halmsjön and started to walk to runway 08. It took a while but after 6 departures the fog started to disappear. After some beautiful takeoffs they changed the runway to 19L. But where is the snow? No snow and its January!!

2013



The year 2013 was a quit fast year. I didn’t have the time to spott as I taught. It was the year a number of people asked me for my photos, especially Kalmar airport where I spent several days to shoot the ramp staffs work.
For the first time in my life I saw AF1 at Arlanda witch was one of the coolest things in my life.
But it was one of the best spottingyears I’ve ever had.
  
Here is the most important  pictures from Arlanda according to me.
 Thai stop flying there beautiful 747 to Arlanda. This is the last day (08/12) of the 747.
 And Qatar stopped flying the A330 to fly the B787 to Arlanda.

 This Antonov 124 was a surpise at january the 5th.
 Speedbird tested thier 787 to Arlanda on Speedbird 780/781.

 Emirates started a new route to Arlanda on September the 4th.
 Ethiopian 737-800WL in beautiful morning light in April.

 OY-RUD was hired to fly to Örnsköldsvik.

And sadly the MD80 left SAS fleet during 2013. 

A trip to CPH was a must to do on the summer. So on the 16th of August, just before school started i took a 17 hours trip to CPH. Sadly it was not sunny the whole time, infact when i landed with SK1415 at 0700h it was a visibility of just 300 meters.

I visted KLR like 20 times this year and even got in to a meeting with the heads of Kalmar airport about planespotting (since I'm the only planespotter at KLR) and about uploading my pictures on the homepage.
